Seasoned Saints

“Seasoned Saints” is a ministry of Stonebrook Church for seniors. This ministry is meant to equip seniors to help make their lives be fruitful and productive. We want to be a resource to provide teaching and guidance for the unique needs that aging and retired people have. We will help seniors mobilize for service at Stonebrook and in the community.

 

We will accomplish these things by: sponsoring and hosting seminars, advertising seminars of other churches, ministries, and community events, maintaining a mailing list of interested seniors at Stonebrook, promoting our 9 am, Wednesday Sips (Coffee gathering of seniors), and adding more senior Community Groups. 

 

Some of the issues we want to address are: loneliness, discouragement at declining health, grandparenting, how to help adult children, leaving a godly legacy, encouraging other age segments of the church, volunteering. Our heart and mindset are to: “In your old age – engage; keep living until you don’t: and practice your faith until you can’t”
