About International Student Ministry (ISM)

The International Ministry of Stonebrook Church aims to make disciples of international students and scholars at Iowa State University through organized meetings and personal relationships rooted in Christ. We accomplish this aim in two different ways.

  1. The Little Family: our international Christian student group at Stonebrook church This meets at Stonebrook church on Friday nights and is for existing believers.
  2. iFam (the international family): an ISU student organization targeted at outreach to internationals for Christ.  iFam meets at Stonebrook on Saturday nights to eat, discuss, interact, play and build relationships.

The international ministry requires several things to bear fruit. We need people who will make the time and take initiative to become disciple makers of internationals. Time and love are the two primary requirements. This can be done by individuals, couples, or families.

We need people who will serve in the following ways: prepare food, set-up, clean-up, provide transportation, make posters, hand out invitations on campus, teach students to drive, help solve problems as they arise.

We need financial partners to be able to purchase supplies, fund activities, and support of the tangible needs of the students on a case by case basis.
